Tax accountant currently in the process of obtaining my CPA.

limits my snowboarding to weekend trips and day trips to VT.

Allows me to take off pretty much anytime I want aside from Feb-Apr. Have been thinking of a career change but honestly wouldn't know of anything I'd really want to do. Leaning towards the nutrition/fitness field.

While I may not be a huge fan of my job (Software Developer as I posted before), it has got a huge upside. In that I now work from home, on my own schedule, looking out over the mountain. Which means I get to board on my "lunch breaks", or just board all day if the conditions are good, and work the equivalent of a 4 day week at times that suit me. Feckin' delighted!

Did apply to be a volunteer adaptive 'boarding guide, so I could give something back in my free time and hopefully make a real difference to some people. Unfortunately for me/fortunately for the mountain and the potential guest, they had a huge response and I didn't make the cut as they have loads of people with relevant experience applying. Which is fair enough but disappointing personally. C'est la via.

"la vie"

I'm a Mining Engineer, specialising in underground hard rock mining mostly. I spent quite a bit of time as a Drill and Blast Engineer so I essentially blew shit up for a living which was pretty damn fun. But have since been sitting in Operational Management roles looking after upward of 20 direct reports and 400 employees at a time

I'm currently unemployed though and have been since December last year. The wife and I decided to sell pretty much everything we owned, quit our jobs and have been travelling the world since. I guess that's one perk of my job, I work my ass off but at least I get payed well for it.

Will be starting back work in January/February (unfortunately), we're moving to London and I'll be flying in and out of Africa for work.

Good times.
