Code monkey/computer programmer/software developer. What ever you want to call it. Started out studying engineering, switched studies and stuck with it. It pays the bills, is challenging and I don't hate it. Currently travelling the world snowboarding and managing to work a bit while doing so, as and when I want to fit it in*. Which is sweet!

Would like to look in to doing something like that long term...

* (supposed to be working now! Hills are crowded, snow due this week, seems the right time to get it out of the way)

Project Manager for a medium sized electrical company.

I work a lot in summer but I have most winters off or just work from home.

Out of curiosity did any research involve cannabis ? From my understanding, it's not thoroughly researched because no company can patent it; therefore, no one wants to sink millions, even billions to do the research and not get their money back...

It actually has been researched and the primary active ingredient was isolated in the 60's. This derivative is used today as the prescription drug marinol. Most studies say that the synthetic is not as effective as the plant itself and this is why medical marijuana got a foothold in some states.

Heard about marinol and would definitely prefer the natural approach myself if I were in the position on needing medication. Good to hear not everyone in the industry is against cannabis.

AFAIK there actually is a patent on it from what I've heard, and that patent is held by Uncle Sam. Patent or not, the reason nobody can make money on it is because it's a weed that you can grow anywhere, it's not some complex chemical compound that needs to be synthesized in a laboratory and developed only after years of rigorous testing.

But yeah, there are lots of conspiracy theories about its legal status, from xenophobia & racism (blacks & other minorities) to cronyism (whether industrial hemp, or consider the state of medicine when the Harrison act was passed and widely available MJ would've soaked their profits), etc.

They're probably all mostly true.

I'm an Army Helicopter test pilot. Been doing it for a good while now. Shitty hours, Moving all the time. not much time to ride. Great benefits package though and I get to do a job most people only dream about. Hopefully i'll be retired in like 10 years then I'll be a full time shred/Weed farmer LOL.
