He should be GLAD the other family isnt suing him for everything he is worth..

Did any of you ever see his show, you could so tell that this kid was going to end up in a situation like this one. The kid was so out of control that it's not even funny.

Now imagine the lawsuit that they are going to get from the other family.

The kid only got 8 months in jail, while the other kid is fucked for life, man teenage years can be very dangerous. I am glad I came out of them with only a few broken bones and some bruises, but nothing that bad.

Well since I loathe pretty much all reality TV I have seen the show maybe twice I don't really know much about the kid.

And also who give a shit. there are peoeple like that all over the planet. The only reason anyone gives a shit about this is becasue his daddy is famous.

besides, like anyone's gonna fuck with hulk hogan's son!

regardless, i've been in solitary & it definitely sucks. i only had to stay in it for a week...this kid has to be in it until he turns 18. i definitely don't think they should let him out on house arrest, but maybe they should just move him to a juvenile detention until he is old enough to go to gen pop. or fuck it, just put him in gen pop now. what's the difference of a couple months?

He's still a minor and the law needs a clear definition of when that period ends. In this case, his 18th birthday. He should be thankful. Or well, his butthole should be thankful. As for the lawsuit, i'd like to see how that plays out. Nick's driving doesn't exactly release John of his culpability in not wearing a seat belt. If they can strongly prove that John's coma is a direct result of him not buckling up, it will offset his own actions.

Look at it this way, the defense can argue that the shoddy driving was not the direct cause of the injury. They could have been rear-ended by a space ship with an unlicensed drunk behind the wheel... or stick... whatever. In which case John could still be in a coma since he didn't bother to put on a belt. They have to prove that the lack of seat belt was the direct cause of the injuries. Now if the plantiffs argue that the seat belt wouldn't have prevented the injuries, they'll run the risk of validating the defense's argument. It may be wiser to ignore the defense's stance and focus heavily on the driving as the direct cause and hope the defense can't put up a strong seat belt case.

Personally, if you're in a car with a friend that you KNOW drives like a drunken dingus, races everything on the planet and in general will put your ass in danger and YOU don't put on a seat belt, you deserve what you get.

Look I am by no means saying that this isn't a serious thing. But the only reason that this gets as much media coverage and gets talked about as much as it does is because he is Hulk Hogans' kid.

The problem that I have with that is that it will turns this other familys' tragedy into a media circus.

If it happened to Joe Blow then you would hear an initial story about it and then maybe a verdict story. I just don't agree with the way people follow celebrities every goddamn move. If it was your neighbor three houses down peoeple wouldn't give a shit, but holy fuck someone famous screwed up.

Was the driver wearing a seatbelt? Yes? Then the plaintiff gets screwed, cuz the driver made it out no probs, in the same accident. No? Then the defendant pays teh moola, i bet.

Anyway I'm sure there are a lot of cases similar to this one, but this one gets media attention cuz of the 'Hogan' name.

I still find it weird that some people don't wear their seatbelt these days, even if you think you're the best driver in the world its the other assclowns out there...in this case the one behind the wheel.

I'm not a big fan of reality TV either so I have no idea what he was like. I hope the family wins as I can only imagine what his medical bills would be like.

But more importantly, did you hear that Paris might be pregnant!!

dumbass 17 yr old shouldn't be driving a supra in the first place. hulk hogan you are such a great parent, keep it up.

this just reminds me of all those stupid "reality" shows. reality my ass. the celebrities on those shows have to be some of the dumbest people on the plant. i can't believe people actually watch that crap. it's almost insulting to be of the same species.
