I am not sure how I feel smoking in general, but my sig petty much describes it. Lost friends and family to them, so you have to build a defense towards it, it amazes me how many students smoke so frequently. And most of them smoke both, is like are not aware of what the future beholds them.

i am confident that most smokers persist whilst under a cloud of delusion; the good old 'it won't happen to me ' mental.

you hear tales of smokers caning 40 a day and living into their 80s..... you hear of healthy types dying in their 20s..... genetic variation has much to answer for, when providing an excuse to ignore the obvious.

i used to smoke about 15 ciggies a day, for a year or two. i then thought 'why?' and quit. but i kept caning the jazz fags for another 8 or 9 years. i smoked less for sure and enjoyed an 'alternative perspective' which i think has caused a permanent change in how i deal with this world (and for the better i must say; afterall it inspired my going to uni, such was my new inquisative nature!)

there are however, ways of minimising the damage smoking can cause. do not do it in association with other things. perfect example being after eating. smoke BEFORE instead!

do not do it whilst walking or disco dancing; the heightened respiration and blood flow, provoke a greater damage. do not do it when ailing a cold or flu. but such should be self regulating.

and finally, DO suffer your neuroses and worries that your time will come and you will feel like an absolute cunt, telling your family and friends that your stinky little habit has caused you to worry them with a case of the big C.

no one is immune; and nothing is worth doing if you cannot get away with it!

incidentally, you also get cancer from burnt toast. it isn't tobacco which creates tumours, but the carbon in the smoke! the worst thing of all, is burnt pig fat!

Just coz you don't understand it
Doesn't mean it makes no sense!

i smoked like every day for about 4 1/2 years, but quit becuase i started getting serious chest pain. still don't know why. smoking never interfered with anything really, except for my wallet my friends all smoke mulitiple times daily, and it doesn't bother me a bit. i think it should definitely be legal.

They won't make weed legal as it is easy to grow yourself, so its hard for them to tax you
This is exactly how I feel about it.

I've only recently started smoking it (read: since I graduated from university), and I'm glad I didn't start it when I was going through school.

Concerts - blaze
Chilling at home with a few people - blaze
House party - blaze

other than in those situations, I'd rather drink lightly than get high... its hard to socialize when ur high.

I find being high nicer, cuz excess booze does a number on my stomach so Ive never been a heavy drinker. At least when you blaze, you can get nicely wasted and still go to work and be normal the next day.

that being said, I was high last night at the Dave Matthews Band concert... fcuk I had a damn asss good time. I'm not much into DMB, but I enjoyed the show cuz I LOVE live music, and jazz... and they're more of a jazz/rock band than a rock/metal band.

Everyday, usually a few times a day. And theres nothing like riding up the lift puffin a J then to get to the top and crank my ipod for the ride down Been smoking for about 8 years now. Oddly enough though I have never tried a cigarette.

As for it being legal i think it should be and my arguement is because alcohol is. I dont understand why alcohol is so much more socially acceptable, i guess because it is legal? If you go home and have a beer or two at night no one will look at you funny, but tell people you puff a joint or two and theyll peg you as a drug addict. Both have negative effects on the mind/body and both will alter your state of mind but in the end I think alcohol is worse. I have some friends that will drink and get rowdy as hell, break shit, get in fights etc... my stoner friends usually dont feel like getting of the couch lol Ive just never understood why one is legal and the other isnt.

oh, and about blazing and boarding; its pretty awesome... but there's three things you NEED to do:

1. Make sure u're not riding alone (Carmen is the perfect accomplice... can't wait to ride with you again, buddy!)
2. Make sure you're carrying water (hydration pack is KEY)
3. Don't smoke your usual amount... go lighter, u just want a *lil* buzz to relax you.

PS. it will NEVER be legalized, because authorities have no way of detecting how much you've consumed w/o a proper drug test... this makes blazing and driving a HUGE concern... with drinking and driving they can atleast prove how much you've had with a road-side tester. Its not possible with weed.
