Default New firefox

Quote:
For those who aren't complete techophiles but still like keeping their PC's up to date.

Mozilla has released their newest version of their Free web browser Mozilla Firefox 3.0. Besides not costing anything to download or use, Firefox is free in the sense that it is open-source software. The source code is readily available and is legally alterable by each user for his/her own needs. Also it is one of the more efficient and readily downloadable programs on the internet with a file size of under 8mb for both PC and MAC versions.

Firefox is considered a much more secure browser than Microsoft's Internet Explorer and is less susceptible to malware(Spyware/Adware/Phishing sites). Also due to a large new-user friendly community and a myriad of add-ons it has steadily eroded IE control of the market (From less than 1% of worldwide usage to 10% in under 2 years).

Sorry to soapbox preach just alittle more. Firefox is currently setting the Guiness World Record for most software downloads by unique IP in a 24 hour period right now. Averaging about 9,000 dl's per minute.

Download site:

Mozilla | Firefox web browser & Thunderbird email client

CNN article:

Firefox fans download 9,000 copies a minute - CNN.com

Enjoy
that's quoted from a friend.

I am bored.

Downloaded it and its actually much better than the previous version

try it out

I like it better too, but I only use it when Safari fails to load a page correctly, which is pretty rare..

thats cuz safari is garbage...lol.

I was using IE, then many people recommended this firefox to me. I dont see what the big deal is, cuz with IE theres way more mouse browsing available... and I don't need to go into the menu-bar for anything. IE FTW!

Also if you want to keep your add-ons or themes

I HATE the new stupid browser bar thing, when I type a letter in I want websites shown that begin with that letter, not all sites with that letter in. That was enough to stop me using it ever again.

It's alright for me so far. I don't see a lot of improvements but I am sure they are there in terms of performance.
