I was in the Bay Area this past weekend.
Unknowingly dragged to the gay pride parade. As soon as we got out of the BART (train) station, we saw: 1) ANONYMOUS - the internet group handing out anti-Scientology stuff. Pretty cool. 2) The Gay Pride parade - obviously. Not so much weiners flopping around, thank god. 3) Anti-Gay rally - they had picket signs and everything. Your basic haters. Need to punch in face. 4) A dirty homeless naked woman - pretty gross. She was dancing on a lamp post and masturbating. Some other homeless dude was trying to get with her too. We left that area with the quickness. |

Hahaha! Sounds like the San Fran that I know. Ugh, the homeless people can be less than desirable at times. Sounds like you found a perfect moment. The gay pride parade is hysterical. Sounds like you got the full experience in a short time.

ah the homeless. sad sights, and sometimes gross, but entertaining antics. my dad's shop is in over the rhine (the ghetto) of cincinnati and it was a daily thing to see nasty nakedness, crack smoking, crack dealing (we had a regular right out front for a while), gun shots about every other day, etc. i once watched a swat team chase a guy through the alley out back and up a fire escape, that was cool. they had their sub machine guns pointed at him and all i could hear was "if you move your hands we will shoot you." so pleasant they are. anyone remember riots in cincy some years ago? that was literally across the street.
