hhmmm Oz did get considered, but asides from the distance to travel, just for a heap of locals to yell 'pom' at you, barrier reefs blow; too much boat travel for too little bottom time; and besides, they are so anal about their nature reserve systems, you only ever get to go where every other package holiday maker goes for their 'try dives'.

looks like we're gonna be either in Egypt, or slumming it up in Greece or Turkey!
