Default Ohhhhhhh no!!!!!!! we have a serious problem!!!!

Now...I dont have too many issues in my life but when I do panic sets in. Right now I am in deep diar straits. Seriously I am upset and at a complete loss...why????

Because I just washed my stuessy hat the one I wear now(shown in recent pics) and have had for years(given to me by a girlfriend)....and the washer machine shredded it apart!!

Now that may seem a little stupid but consider this. That hat has been with me for longer than most of you have been alive. It has had countless pins put on it, traveled god knows how many miles, has band sigs, resin marks, lipstick, sun fade spots from the pins....

AND ITS SHREDDED!!!!

HOWEVER!!!!! we will turn this into a positive. I will look for patches and get the sewing machine out...

Maybe It was just the hats time to go. It had a lot of experience and was just too tired. You should get a new one to take on your adventures and sew a little piece from the old into it

And thats exactly what I did

Honestly, as stupid as this sounds I didnt like getting in the car without that hat, particularly its a perfect sunny day. Its almost like loosing your dog..I mean its loyal, always there for ya.

So I got it hangin on the clothes line right...I figure, im runnin to walmart. Home of the cheap hat. Not at this one, they didnt have any. So I hitup "Dicks" expecting to pay the arm and leg and eye. They had the exact same style(Bucket) for 9 bucks...This hippie can afford that.

I get back with my new hat...my 83 year old mom has the sewing machine out, patch already applied(it sucks because I cant read clearly the Dave Hlubek(molly hatchet) sig on it) and shes crankin away on the seams. "Dont worry Ill fix it for ya. Dont want this to holdup the lawn being cut"

I am retiring that hat. Ill put it with my retired snowboard.

I agree its a stupid ass hat.. But its been with me a very long time. Im sure you guys have some sort of favorite hat or clothing for that matter. And now I have a dilema.....

See when I got back yesterday that 83 year old italian lady was hard at work on the sewing machine. And just for the record. Those ladys with sewing machines built this country way back in the depression era. They worked in sweat shops, clothed their men and took care of the homestead all in the same day. Any of your grandparents would tell u that. So here I am coming home with my new hat, there she is crankin away and whalla....not only is it back its better than what it was. The patch looks great and the brim is back in tact.

So what does one do...Do I use the new one which I like alot, or do I continue the tour with the original...Well it took me 3 doobs, 3 TNT's, a few conversations last night at a bar with some awesome chicks who know fashion and a toss of a coin.

Well Im gonna keep the new one going. I left all the pins but four vetran ones that must go on the new hat. Tonight starts the tour with "Stone Temple Pilots"..yes trey is in town indeed! and since my son is actually back stage working for this gig...I dont see why I cant get sigs on this new puppy and continue the tour with it....
