Okay, I know it is`nt really cool to diss another forum, but enough is enough. You all know which I am talking about. I have defended that site on here when others were trashing it, but no more....I have had it with their bullshit!

They crashed again and now everything beyond June 12`th is lost. All the trip reports, the topics, advice all of it. I and Ale Capone have both put forth a lot of effort to provide decent trip reports only to have them lost AGAIN...

When everyone was trash talking them I tried to defend the site, but I sure as hell will not put any effort into a site where day to day you never know if everything you have contributed will be lost. At this point, they need to just pull the damn plug and let it die already.

Hey u speak the truth. Thats not dissin anything. Thats why I quit the meet I was working on. I didnt trust the system for loss of data.

Im sure u and ale did put alot of effort into those reports. Here nor there dont get upset over it just move on as others told me too do....

well that pretty much seals the deal for me. i cant even log on cause the page is completely fucked up and i didnt have it keep me logged in.

i understand your frustration wolf but really, are you surprised?

and on a side note, i love how some people will defend that site to the bitter end. remember wolfie, its YOUR fault YOU didnt back up your trip reports on your local machine.

I don't know what to say about it as I have no idea wtf happened beyond another crash. Wolf and ale had put some excellent tr's up there. I have no idea if they are gone forever or what the deal is. I am sure I can find them on web crawler but I have no real way to transfer them back to sb.com. I have a hunch everything is gone, but I'll let you know once I hear something.

i blame myself.... whenever i start to post new threads.... it all goes belly up.

the more new threads, the further back it goes.

it is too fragile a system to invest any further time and effort into contributing to it. how difficult is it to make back ups more frequently than (seemingly) every 6 weeks?

Do keep in mind we were in all likely hood going to lose every post with the updated version, when and if it happens. I don't think that anyone is unjustified in their feelings. I am not exactly thrilled about this either.
