Now this is interesting...

Quote:
"Brett has had a long and storied career in Green Bay, and the Packers owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude for everything he accomplished on the field and for the impact he made in the state. It is with some sadness that we make this announcement, but also with the desire for certainty that will allow us to move the team and organization forward in the most positive way possible.''
Now some may not know this but the Packers are not a privately owned team. They are a public domain team and you can buy stock..the above statement so much reflects that style of ownership...

"thanks so much, here is the door". Of course I cant blame them he did after all retire last year.

The Packers didn't say "thanks so much, here is the door" He retired, we knew he was going to. That is why we drafted Aaron Rodgers years ago, now Brain Brohm. We didn't think he was going to pull a Reggie White, Michael Jordan, Deon Sanders. I don't think Brett is going to have many years left and its hard to see him go but good because we have to look to the future.

O and I'm a Packer fan. Really any Wisconsin team I'm a fan of.

ive always loved brett and im a jets fan so this works for me. im gonna pick him up for my fantasy team so that i can actually root for one of my players (plus i live in ny, so they show jets games often).

hes kidding himself if he thinks he'll make it any further than the wild card though. i hope he truly meant it when he said he just wanted to play football

U gotta point there

Gosh he is going to have it tough with the jets. I mean they are pathetic!!!Even the bills beat em last year and they were terrible.

But he is a leader, he will make an impact. For how long who knows, the threat is still there. But he has to learn a whole new system.

He is not a very good fantasy player; for all the touchdowns he throws he throws an interception. I have watched almost every game for is 16 year career.

Well he is doing good today. My team is playing a team with favre He has 12.4 points. Great and now the Bills are going to loose their 7-20 lead against the seahawks

Of course with a fake field goal for a touchdown, a fumble by the seahawks on the persuing kickoff and a trent edwards strike for another touchdown looks like the Bills have a 34 10 lead over the seahawks.
