I loved this movie. It had some inaccuracies, but it did it damn well. The only thing I don't like was how they perceived it to be more about the SF and DevGru part of the story rather than just the CIA Intel part. Still one of the best movies I will ever see, just different than what I had expected.

I recently saw this film and had no real expectations going in other than I hoped it was better than "the hurt locker". I felt it was a stronger story and the subject matter was a bit less "hollywood" and more diverse for a military/cia film.
I did not like the main character based on the fact that she did not really grow as a person but rather became so engrossed into the operation and all of what she had happened to her that she became very bitter but still remained the same. This made the ending- the most hollywood aspect, I felt- feel very unsatisfying. It was if it was just tacked on. Over all though I will say that it is certainly up there in the top for the real events/hollywood mix. I enjoyed most of it and it is worth a watch. |

I'm still debating if I want to see this. The previews looked really good, but then when I saw it was directed by the same bitch that did the hurt locker I kind of lost interest. I don't know what it was, but I HATED the hurt locker! It was just so rediculously done that nothing was believable.
Is it safe to say that this movie is way better than the hurt locker and completely different? |

WAY better than the hurt locker.
The GF and I went to see this - I honestly wanted to see Django Unchained over Zero Dark but was glad I saw Zero instead. Great plot - you can tell its Hollywood dramaticized but not overly so. Keeps you enthralled the whole time. My only gripe are the Seal guys towards the end. Are you guys on a high school football team or are you supposed to be Navy Seals? Albeit, I know NOTHING about Seal lifestyle but it seemed a bit too "oh hey bro, lets kill terorrists." My two cents. |
