X-games 14

so i realise this is a bit old now but anybody watch it?

skate big-air was amazing, especially Danny way, the fact he got destroyed like that and then got up and landed it next run. altho i think burnquist shouldve done the same as jake and let him win..but i guess he wouldnt get as a big a paycheque then.

the moto-x best trick was also crazy, that Jim dechamp was so close to landing a front flip, broke his back and still managed to walk off. and the electric doom (or death) was the winning trick, which looked pretty nuts. made even better by the fact he took out some medical personel on his landing.

skate superpark was a new event and was pretty crazy, especially the fact that none of them wore protective gear...apart from the guy that invented the pogo stick...he still rocked full pads

skate vert was pretty much the same as always, shaun white got 2nd or 3rd (cant remember), and he pulled the very first armadillo (a.k.a. 'the armadillo, always hard'), which i think is basically a FS 540 varial heelflip, but could be wrong.

will try find some youtube links if ya'll are too lazy to look for yourself

those were the only events i saw..

heres danny ways crash YouTube - Danny Way Big Air Contest Crash X Games 14 2008

and shaun whites run, the armadillo is about 4th trick in. YouTube - Shaun White Lands the Armadillo!!!!

Jim dechamp's frontflip attempt
YouTube - Jim Dechamp - (Frontflip) 08 X Games Best Trick
he got them to move the ramp closer for his run than it had been during practise cause he thought he wasnt gonna make it...but he ended up overshooting it.
