Default Went skydiving with my wife! (pics)

My wife and I celebrated our 1st anniversary by going skydiving. It was the single most incredible thing I have ever done! I can't recommend it highly enough, especially if you like adrenaline! Anyway, we got a few pics from the ground.

Me and my tandem master, Vinnie, pre-flight.

This is me just cruisin' down.

This is my wife. She's crazy and got completely horizontal doing spins on the way down.

Me and Vinnie, post-flight.

Awwwwww

My father used to do singles back when you didn't need a licence, it runs down through our family. Awesome experience, i recommend it to, especially if you get a chance to do it over Lake Taupo, NZ. Where did you do it nick?

I did it at Skydive Tecumseh in Tecumseh, Michigan. I want to get licensed. I was told it costs about $1k to get licensed and you can get a used rig for around $1k too. My wife would also like to get licensed! (How sweet is that!?) We've already talked about doing it all over the country and everywhere we go on vacation.

Wow! That's a lot of $$$. I just checked the Skydive Tecumseh website and my tandem master was wrong. The total for getting an A license is $1,967. Still, that's a hell of a lot better than $7k.

yeah, heaps of regulations here i think, reason for the amount of jumps you have to achieve, but 2k NZD into it you go solo, from then on its really just paying for jumps.

It's kind of funny, but as we were ascending I kept thinking to myself that it would be fine if the plane's engine stalled because I could just jump. But, when the time came for jumping and the engine was still running, I had that same thought; "what the F am I doing? This plane is fine."
