truth be told, i haven't really watched much of the olympics. i think china ought never have been awarded the games; they are so full of shit, it has tarnished the entire olympic philosophy IMO.
but what i have seen of the beach volleyball at least, is that some freakishly lanky wimmin, with all the sexually dimorphic traits of 13 year old boys have been jumping around and hi-fiving each other.
now of course i am just expressing my preference, but i like females with curves; you know, boobs and bums. these specimens you speak of are not sexually gratifying whatsoever.
besides, the olympics is for sporting endeavour. if you want to judge the worthiness of an olympic event on the strength of the itch it provokes in your pants, i think you may have missed the point......
you should maybe suggest a wet t-shirt contest for london 2012.... all that cold rain in the typical british summer!!!!! can you imagine?

I don't agree with the removal of baseball since its the national sport of the dominican, the yankees, Japan, Cuba (to name a few),
|
to name 'a few'? to name the entirety! just coz the MLB play the 'world series' doesn't make it global! again... hahahahaaa! and i talk from my 'ass'?

i don't understand the horsey side of things either.... but in some of the events, the riders are randomly given a horse from a pool of local nags... and so it is a test of human ability.
and in china, they do not become glue.... they export to france and italia as dinner!

did you see the above picture? those girls have no curves? ... haha, well I guess we all know that paolo is a chubby chaser, lol, u can keep the cottage cheese, my man.
The justification for womens volleyball (or any volleyball, for that matter) is not only limited to the visual appeal of said sport alone (i mean, did you think I was serious?!! ohhhh, paolo ) But I'm preeeeetty sure the justification for that would be the same as it would for basketball, soccer or ANY other team sport; physical endurance, strength, skill, performance. Its like trying to justify any olympic sport; you can't really.
Through history, I believe the only justification for adding sports to the olympics was that the hosting country was allowed to vote on which sport it would like to include. THIS, however is the first time I've heard of a sport being removed.... frigging stuck-up brits!
and yeah, upon further research... those are the only countries that have baseball as a natonal sport BUT that's not to say it isnt big anywhere outside of the yankee borders.
Mooz. Fuck off.
...haha, i guess im used to the TPC forums, that have curse filters...

But I see your point with Equestrian, never understood how that ended up in the Olympics.

Well, I'm a little confused at this... you've played golf?... I'm not talking mini-putt, or the driving range. And if you've spent any time with it, you;d know that in order to really appreciate it you gotta spend years just to be considered a 'hack'!... lol, but sport preference is too subjective to argue... if its not up your alley then of course you'd hate it, regardless of where it's played... like me and curling
I like your relation to heart rate and sport preference, though. For the record I'm actively involved in golf, softball, basketball, track days (open lapping as well as shifter carting), snowboarding, ball hockey and flag football. I guess I'm kinda 'all over the place', cuz i don't relate having a high pulse to having fun, but ok.
So how do you feel about marksmanship? I mean, you want a steady, low pulse inorder to shoot the target, right?... but ur 'merican so you GOTTA love it, eh?

if you think those volleyball professionals have curves, you have little persepctive on which to consider me a chubby chaser. you stick to your media induced preference for size zero kiera knightly wannabes....
your attitude towards sport, (not to mention my own physique, and perp's nationality) are so far from the mark, i am relieved you didn't include paintballing in your list of 'hobbies' (let alone archery or shootin)

Well, he didn't put where he was from, and his posts aren't 12 hours apart from ours so I'm assuming USofA, (like 90% of people that post in OT). And I'm not sure if the pic is working for you there, buddy but I don't have to "think" volleyball players have curves, look at the darn pic!!?
:\
You're making them sound like 13 yr. old chinese gymnasts! ... and I'm pretty sure most athletic women aren't paris hilton scrawny (which is disgusting, imo).
actually, i forgot to mention paintball of which I am an avid fan, but no $$ to dedicate to a sport I can only do once or twice a year.
And MY attitude towards sport?>?!?!?! ROFLOMGWTFBBQ... this thread isn't the first time you've bashed a sport, not only because of your personal preference, you degrade the participants as if they weren't true athletes, and unworthy of your respect... gimme a break.

Yawwwwn....ok so im back from camp and see alot of activity here in the forums..thats excellent.

Hot chicks in Skimpy bathing suits. Chicks from different countries...yea..it stays.
Baseball. It is true our pros are busy with financial contractual obligations within their corporate structure during the timeframe. So they cant play. For whatever reason it is good for the olympics to take and add to the venues. Hopefully they add something different for what they take away.
In the case of cricket. I would like to see that. Im sure there are alot of hardcore cricket players.
Ohhh and as far as calling baseball or any other sport boring...consider this. There are a variety of sports to fit a variety of people. As people on here may think baseball is boring I am confident there are people who think snowboarding is boring...(most likely because they never tried it)
and shouldnt be part of the olympic winter games...That may be a hard sell on this forum...
Ya think its a hard sell to eliminate baseball on a baseball forum?? and yes they exist out there. Alot of people like baseball. I was a second baseman and pretty fucking good in my day if I say so myself...
There is only one thing wrong with baseball....no cheerleaders
But it wont be missed in the olympics.there is too much going on to miss it.

ah ha! here's the 'worthy respect' of 'true athletes' which kri$h had mentioned, along with when he was commenting on the athleticism, tactics, endurance and tenacity.... oops, sorry.... the curves of the participants.
the bullshit is getting pretty deep in here.

Now wait a minute...one of my "astute" nature certainly qualifies the athletic skills and desire of the athlete in their quest for proper metal consideration....mind you..
HOWEVER in the interest of justice and that of human nature..
How can one not help but love a sand infested , well tanned, hot looking, sweaty piece of ....well u know

So, what you're saying Paolo is that volleyball players have none of the above characteristcs?!!?!?!?! SERIOUSLY?!! because THAT is they're justification for being in the olympics. The fact that they're pleasant to watch is icing on the cake, man! I can't believe I'm debating with a dude who claims to be straight, on the topic of watching womens beach volleyball.
