i dont watch volleyball, but i thought that the point of beach volleyball is that its 2 on 2 and that regular volleyball has a much bigger team, which makes for much longer volleys. i was always under the impression that it's two very distinct dimensions to the same game, like singles or doubles for tennis.

that being said, i caught the tail-end of jay lenos interview with that gymnast nastia someshit, and i would totally serve 5-10 for that

EDIT: Actually, the Aussie who had that huge upset over China for the gold in 10m diving was the only "out" guy at the Olympics. (I think like 1/2 of the US Woman's soccer and softball team were lady-lovers, too). Which is funny, cause if you saw the interviews with the two US divers...they were totally sleeping with each other.
