On the topic of baseball...what the fuck? They want it removed because people are angry because we are sending our scrubs....If anyone watched, they would know what would happen if we sent our good players, the foreign countries should be happy that they get to play our easy team

On softball, since when do sports get removed from the Olympics because a country is too good? Seems a little rediculous

We don't believe in baseball over here. It doesn't take long enough and you don't look posh enough. Practice 5 day test match baseball, allowing draws and drinking Pimms and we might reconsider.

Do many countries play baseball? i have a feeling its a pretty small sport in most places in the world

A few south american countries have it, but other than that the sport dead.

They banned it because there won't be enough beer served in the stands to actually make the sport seem interesting.

Well as it's been said one of the main reasons Olympic softball has been dropped is that the US has won the Gold every single Olympics it's been in and it just hasn't been competitive. So it's probably gone for good. What happens?

like beach volleyball, what the fek is it doing in the olympics in the first place?

baseball, a national sport in cuba, america and japan (and a tiny bit in canaduh. hardly good for international interest.

now cricket.... (the one day, finite number of overs variety; not the never ending test match, egg sandwiches and cuppa tea type nonsense) would be a good addition; you have teams from europe, asia and the antipodeans... plus even a growing following in the US (to a tiny extent).... that would fit the venue at least.

meanwhile, BMX rahhhhhh! tip top choice!

incidentally, did phelps really win his 100m butterfly gold?

That's all fine a good for cricket except for one thing. It's even lamer than baseball.
