yeah the situation is not looking good, plus the damn hurricane center doesn't know what the fuck they are doing. They never get one of these babies right.

I used to live in earthquake heaven in Colombia, trust me on this one, you do not want to be near a big one. It was the scariest situation I lived in my life.

my dad was over from the UK visiting me at the time and was on the bog when it struck. quite fortunate really.... he was somewhat nerve wracked by it.

but in memory of Benny Hill (and the like) if i ever find myself near the epicenter of a 'big one' i hope to be surrounded by people like the one in simply^'s avatar. i can see a plus side....

incidentally, hurricane season affects us in western eurolandia too.

thanks to the effects of the gulf stream, once the bluster has calmed down over the USA, there is still considerable precipitaiton up in the sky.

just as the juvenile 'canes march westwards over the atlantic to cause the southern states grief, they also return eastwards to slowly die and dump their guts!

in a few weeks time, we are gonna get flooded! still.... at least i don't live in ireland!
