Corpses show up in some odd places. When I was a freshman at Michigan State in 1999, they found a body in a basement snack bar in a walk-in fridge that, unfortunately, had not been in operation. My dorm room was on the 4th floor of this place, and I shit you not you could smell that dead animal-type smell all the way up there. Yet it took them a while to find the body and when they did they had figured in was in there for like 8 or 9 days. It was the most disgusting smell you could imagine when you walked into the main doors of the building.

So I could see how something like this can happen and get missed. I can't imagine taking a shower under that water or *puke* actually drinking it.
