New Glarus Brewing

ANYTHING from them. If you are ever in WI or close by, look for it.

Living in San Diego we have a few well known microbrews. Ballast Point (which makes really good stuff), Stone, Alesmith, Mission, Pizza Port (also really good but really local stuff). I used to be an IPA guy but have moved away from that, but do like most ales.

I'm just a huge beer lover, I really enjoy a crisp pilsner like Asahi Super Dry or Paulaner Premium Dry Pils.

IPAs are awesome but I do not love them when they taste overly piney. At work I drink Backcountry's Telemark IPA (out of Frisco) for the last year or so, it is excellent.

Lately I have gotten into stouts and porters more, my new favoritest beer is Left Hand Nitro Milk Stout, truly amazing beer with a newly invented technology like the Guiness widget but with no widget, oh and its fucking delicious. Yesterday I grabbed a Big Bear Black Stout Bomber...that was awesome!!

My two favorite summer beers for the last 5 years or so have been Sierra Nevada Summerfest (a lager with almost as much bite as their Pale, but hella drinkable), and Shift by New Belgium, which also has a high IBU for a lager, yummy.

You drink at work

My after work/average night out/always in the fridge beer is bud light... yeah yeah I know.

I used to live in Reno so I really dig a lot of the Sierra Nevada, especially the pale. Funny thing is when I lived there they were just starting out, you could get a 6pk for 3 bucks, now, $9/6pk.

I like most of the stuff from Dillon Dam, Sweet Georges brown is a favorite. Then there is Sam Adams, like the original, and cream stout, goes great with most bourbons.

Belgian Wheats are my favorite, Hefeweizens are up there too. I pretty much know if I try a microbrew from those categories I'll like it.

Since you live in Cali, try the Hefeweizen at Trader Joe's. It's only $5.99 for a six pack and it's just as good as any other hefe I've had.

I have to be in the right mood for the porters or maybe drinking it with the right food.

I drink a lot of different stuff though to branch out and see what is out there.

There's an app called untappd that lets you check in and rate different beers. It says I've tried 32 distinct beers since November but I know I don't check in on beers every time I'm slumming it up with the Labatts, High Lifes or even Walgreen's in house beer.

I love the untappd app. Helps me remember what I liked and didn't like. It also makes realize that my friends are all a bunch of alcoholics compared to me. LoL!

Well I'm a cook at a bar, so yea, I usually have a beer when I get there, or very shortly thereafter, and then have 3-5 usually between 4pm and midnight. I'm one of those people who doesn't like being drunk, I've never blacked out but I sure do love to drink 4 beers EVERY DAY.

Bud light is gross. I drank alot of Bud in my 20's but now I can only taste banana when I drink it.

I love the Extra Pale from Dillon Brewery, my favorite place to get it is with a sammich or pizza at Jersey Boys!!
