Yeah its not only about crude oil anymore.

Its about refineries. There hasn't been any new ones constructed in the last 10 years (or something like that), and EPA regulations on sulfur content limit their ability to produce gasoline any faster... thus restricting production and inflating the price.

Personally, I think they're purposely throttling back production to control the supply/demand curve.

Fucking assholes, I tell ya.

Oh, that 1.5 miles across town is agonizing, I tell ya. 3-1/2, 4, or even 5 minutes to get there if I leave during "school zone" hours. Sometimes, I just bike to get there faster. The 40 or 45 minutes to get to the local mountain, however, does suck. Adds up to the whopping 6,000 miles I put on my truck every year.

20 min if I drive, or an hour and a half-two hours by bus.

aye, 4 hours away!?

I gotta drive 1 1/2 to my local mountain, but I go every weekend that there's good snow... even if the resort sucks... riding is riding.

how often do you guys get to ride since your local is so far away?

Lets see...

20 miles each way Monday thru Friday, each trip takes anywhere from 35 minutes to 1 hour. Unfortunately very sporadic.
