Chances are if something sounds too insane to be true, it prolly is. For example, "The FDA would allow a known carcinogenic to be included in children's candy."

snopes.com: Mountain Dew Shrinks Testicles
Fd & c yellow no. 5: Carcinogenic Potency Database
Additives - E-numbers: E100, E101, E101a, E102, E104, E107, E110

Hey those are interesting links your provided... but I have seen gallon jugs of this stuff that actually say its carcinogenic?? more specifically... "A known carcinogen" right on the Jug>>>> thanks for the references.. I will research some more... fascinating.

Also, the FDA's oversight of our food safety in this country is a Joke. The produce we buy in our markets is laced with minute amounts of Monsanto chemicals that the FDA considers acceptable.. What is not even considered is that these trace amounts of chemical compounds synergistically combine to mimic hormomes in the human body causing mutation;.... can you say cancer??? amongst others... I have no faith in the FDA and neither should you... Understaffed, under funded and in the pocket of bloody huge corporations hell bent on profit at all costs for its shareholders.... just my opinion..
Note: If the FDA funded these studies... then I give them no credence what so ever...

Interesting link I found... You may be right but it seems based upon my research that the jury is still out here, and the studies that say these food dyes are harmless to human beings are sponsored by the companies using and or producing them.. hey now, I love candy corn too!! not worth arguing about, I just find it stimulating to hear what ya'll think.... I will eat my share of em this Halloweenie... gosh I love that carnuba wax yum!!

everything in moderation I suppose but that seems impossible with candy corn..betcha can't just eat one....handful or two.
