The spark of life? or simply the realization that WE ARE GOD

I stumbled upon this yesterday & felt compelled to share. Evidentally it's old news (1990).

The physician, Dr. Frank Lynn Meshberger, a gynecologist at St. John's Medical Center in Anderson, Ind., proposes that the rose-colored form surrounding God, which resembles a flowing gown or the clouds of glory often found in Renaissance paintings, is a portrait of the human brain.

''People have said that what is being passed from God to man in the painting is the spark of life,'' Dr. Meshberger said in a telephone interview. ''But Adam is already alive. I think what God is giving to Adam here is intellect.''

i'm going to take it a step further though & say it symbolizes that WE ARE GOD! or rather, our conscious is. Or to put it in a less extreme notion...to reach God, you only need to reach within your self.

that could be somewhat supported by a general misunderstanding when the term "yahweh" came about. the meaning being "I Am". maybe it was meant to be seen from an individual's point of view and not literally from jesus??

i think so.

and the image definitely looks like a brain. the doctor didn't say the same thing as me though, he said he thinks it means not the spark of life, but the spark of knowledge. but he doesn't say the knowledge of what & still leaves it out there as God being separate. Which he definitely appears to be separate in this painting, but you could almost view that as God being the thoughts within our own mind.

edit:

i mis-quoted him, he says the "spark of intellect"...?
i like knowledge better, lets go with that

if a god exists....

one that lives within all of us;
is vital for existence to have occurred;
is the very spark of creation;
lives for all immortality thru out the generations;
gives us all that we are;
and is omnipresent....

then that god's name is deoxyribose nucleic acid.

simple

and no, that painting looks nothing like a brain and the gynecologist who suggested it did, has clearly grown board with looking at wimmin's clams!

Just coz you don't understand it
Doesn't mean it makes no sense!

God isn't DNA. God is energy. our conscious energy.

and yes it does look like a brain.

god is energy? like a chunk of coal?
conscious energy? and so god dies when we die?

things pulled from people's noses can look like brains; doesn't mean they've had a religious experience!

my advice (not that its asked for, nor is likely to be valued):

quit looking for brains and just start using your's to realise this entire notion is unbridled bollocks.

Just coz you don't understand it

no, god is the energy that made that coal.

i guess there's two parts to my belief...science & metaphysics. both are connected to energy being the source. coscious energy is like the vibration of the raw energy. it's a higher vibrating form of the raw energy. it exists in emotion & i think that's what passes on when we die.

we know energy doesn't die, right? it gets consumed or transferred. it can also be released. our raw energy burns out & gets consumed by the earth, or by where/whatever takes our body. our higher vibrating energy isn't attached to that body, so it gets released. do you beieve in ghosts, mr. zombie? ghosts exist as energy, emotional energy. people who are clarvoiant, they pick up on the emotional energy from the "other side".

we definitely have a higher, mindful energy that hasn't truly been explained. do i think God is some entity we need to bow down to? no. i think it's the combined energy of all that is.

edit:

i don't know that metaphysics is really the right word for it, but you get the idea.
