Depends on your age and bike? Young guy with a sportbike? yeah theyre gonna get ya, older guy with a cruiser though should be decent, for reference I ride a suzuki Gsxr-750 sportbike and I just turned 30, I pay about 45 dollars a month for full coverage through statefarm, cant beat that!

Yeah I never thought about the age factor either. It was a young guy interested in sport bikes that told me this lol

Province also makes a big difference. Insurance in Ontario is much higher than AB for example...

damn Pouts - that track shit is nuts.

i don't really have any desire to go faster than about 90 on two wheels. i like the sporty for its looks and sound, and would probably get a Duc or a dual sport type of thing for cross-country rides. for day stuff the harley is fine, although i will probably do a couple things to make it a little more comfortable.

i don't think i would really ever get a cruiser bigger than the sporty tho - i just don't like the look of big bikes. those old man baggers with their windscreens and their comfortable lazyboy seats just look fucking soft.

i don't really like the stock look of most sport bikes either... make it a streetfighter or a cafe and i'm 'bout it.

Full coverage for my Ninja will only be about $45 a month. Though I
ll probably go for comprehensive. If I crash the bike I'll take the punishment I deserve.

Yeah I make a point of taking almost everything I own to the drag strip at one time or another, just for fun. The FZ6 was good for 12.0 flat. I never made it into the 11's on that bike. Still considering that's faster than 99.99999% of production cars out there, you still get that on top of the world feeling while riding it around. The R1 was just another beast all together. I bought the two piece suit because I was planning on doing some lapping days with it, but ended up selling it after getting a fairly hefty speeding ticket on a quiet sunday morning.

I'd love to get some sort of comfortable dual sport as we have great trails about 45 mins from my house. Only trouble is a 250 4 stroke would be working a little too hard for me to want to ride it to the trails.

That said, I spent some time on a friends Ninja 250 AFTER I owned the R1, and that little ninja was a really fun bike! You could wring it's neck and still be within 20 km/h of the speedlimit.

Here's that FZ8 I was saying I'd like, plus some side cases. It's got an upright comfortable position, a centre stand built in, a big fuel tank, and the 800 should be a great sized engine:

I dont think theres a crazier feeling than seeing your digispeedometer clicking past 185mph on a front straight of a racetrack...until you have to drop down 3 gears and hit a corner at about 120 with your knee on the ground(pictures to follow)

i'll raise (the price on) your Yamaha with a Duc Streetfighter....

monster...

or, drumroll please......

hypermotard:

although the only one i could probably ever afford would be the monster.... and once i had it i don't know if i could afford the maintenance.

what i'd really like to do is take a dirtbike and turn it into a cafe/motard like one of these KTMs:

would be the perfect light bike to throw around and learn wheelies on...
