I'm from the area, and am an EMT. I was going to volunteer this year with a bunch of my buddies but I got stuck at work. They were/are positioned at the finish line. What I've heard from them is that rumbling's in the FBI are that it's definitely some sort of terrorist attack. One official was asked if he thought it was a bomb and he said something along the lines of "Hell yeah it is. What else could it have been?" Also, there have been a few other devices found along the route, and one right across the street UNDERNEATH the grandstand. That would have been disastrous. Not a lot of the runners were hurt, most of the injuries were spectators. Only a few deaths, but a lot of really crazy injuries. Quite a few people lost their legs.

I bet whoever set off that bomb also hates Subway. So don't go to any subways in the boston area.
