Default Shit people steal.

So my truck was stolen this morning. About 1230 tonight, I get a call from SLCPD saying that they found my truck about 2 miles from my house.

I show up to recover it and take inventory of whats they stole from it. All I gotta say is WTF goes on in a theifs brain?

I understand the tool box, GPS and sunglasses but...

Among the other items stolen:

My 7 Year old smelly and becoming tattered jacket shell
My duck taped jerry rigged cellphone charger
A pair of used ipod ear buds(gross)
My collection of burnt modest mouse black keys and SRV cds
Half a bottle of contact solution
No less than 2 pairs of dirty socks
A book of short stories by william faulkner
A 1998 national geographic magazine-cover story:Great Whites
Roll of TP
2 pairs of the most rancid smelling, ducktape-mended ski gloves you will ever meet
An empty bottle of brake cleaner
About 6 gatorade bottles filled with water
My lucky hawk feather
Owners Manual(how am I going to know how much blinker fluid I need now??)

Thankful they left my 0 degree sleeping bag and box of over 100 flys.

Im glad I got the truck back in working order but come on boys!!.. Most of the stuff they took only has value to only me and is gonna be a huge PITA to replace. They are just devious people I guess. Ok Im done. Just wanted to vent as well as laugh it off seeing the whole list.

My car got broken into about 5 years ago. I intentionally don't leave anything of value in my car, so they didn't have much to shoose from. But of the things stolen were:

My aftermarket cd player's face plate (not the actual cd player)
My cd holder which had about 20 burned cds in it
The cars cigarette lighter
A can of Axe body spray (that shit got bitches wet 5 years ago)
And a $5 flashlight from the glove box

Those were pretty much the only things that could be stolen from my car, since that's all that was really in there. But all of those things, aside from the can of Axe (who doesn't want to get bitches wet?) were of no use/value to anyone. Unless this guy happend to have the same exact CD player as me but had a broken head unit, and was in dire need of cds to play in it.

In summary, some people steal shit just to steal. I hope they get AIDs.

I had my car busted into and they took all my textbooks, about $0.58 in change, my ipod dock and a work uniform of mine (EMS).

They left my checkbook, a bag containing my entire baseball setup and most of my camping gear.

The crappy part was the cost of a new window and new textbooks. I once caught a guy breaking into my truck...following leaving the bar with some friends, needless to say he got what was coming to him.

I have also had a faceplate to my stereo stolen. Nothing else. They did leave the glove compartment open too but didn't steal anything from it.

My car got broken into about a month ago and all they stole was a gps that didn't work and a broken itrip. The weird part was I had about 2 grand worth of firefighting gear and all my snowboarding shit in the back seat. Plus my 1400 dollar shotgun in my trunk.

Worst thieves ever.

This sort of reminds me of my friend's car which was stolen on Monday. The kids took his dying Neon out for a joy ride, but dumped $2000 worth of tools out the window during the theft. Idiots.
