I think a few slightly notable shootings had more to do with the gun control laws than Californians. That and the pro gun rights attitude of "nothing needs to be changed" didn't really help either. So a bunch of stupid laws got passed.

Can't fault someone for buying a Prius, especially a year or two old. The gas mileage is ridiculous.

That said, they should not fool themselves into thinking they are being environmentally friendly. Same amount of enviro rapeage goes into making that car as any other.

I dont know who buys a Prius for the environment. I own mine for my wallet!!

Its a 2011 and I have put 218,000 miles on it since August 2011. I cannot afford to put fuel in anything else.

And I don't know why everyone thinks they are slow?? I average 50 mpg in mine at 80 mph without issue.

Pinhead drivers are irrelevant to the car... LOL

Sorry, this is going to bug me. But there is no "AWD fuse" you can take out of a Subaru to make it more fuel efficient. The boxer engine, along with the AWD design makes the vehicle inherently heavier, thus more of a fuel cow. With the older turbo engine designs, there are some mods you can do that will help it run more efficiently, but of fuel economy is a concern, then Subaru is not the way to go.

Oh you don't live near me dude. The enviro friendly people are always trumpeting their Prius and saving the environment. Just shake my head.

Another bonus of the Prius is minimal maintenance. Not a high wear and tear type of vehicle. And isn't it 10,000 miles an oil change or something like that?

10,000 per oil change, my original brake pads still have 5mm wear, 100,000 miles on a set of tires....

It is realistically the only car i can afford to drive for my job.

I'm not knocking the car, just the majority of drivers. It seems there is a general concensus among them that going the speed limit is bad for gas mileage, so you have to drive under it at all times. Same with Subarus. They made good solid dependable cars, but it seems the majority of their customer base is hippies/hipsters that suck at driving.

That's the typical person I cuss about on the way back to Denver; the stupid Prius/suburu drivers.

Driving under the speed limit in the fast lane with retarded bumper stickers plastered all over their car. They're also still wearing their goggles, to show how cool they are, maybe work on the goggle tan.

It's amazing how people can be totally oblivious to what is going on behind them. If people are driving past me flicking me off and honking, I'd like to think I would take a hint!
