That's kind of ironic, one of my friends wants a Subaru for the mileage.

When you've driven a pickup since you've started driving, 30mpg is great. I'm happy getting 18 mountain driving. A pickup is a must for some people, and many times it's a "you won't need it 90% of the time, but when you do you'll be happy as hell you have it".

I do like Subarus, they are reliable from what I've seen and are fun to drive. Fun to drive is one of the top things I notice in a vehicle.

Reading that article about Portland made me want to go there and start punching hipsters in the face. That's just plain ridiculous. I'm all about riding my bike when I can (Denver has bike paths all throughout the city, and it's super convinient when you are going to a bar a couple miles away to just ride your bike since you can drink a lot and not have to drive) but to have the mayor blatantly say that they want people to stop driving is absurd. Does the Mayor ride a bike everywhere? I highly doubt it.Talk about a misuse of tax payer money.

Pinhead drivers are irrelevant to the car... LOL
Dang, son! Finally I've found one person who's made the Prius pay for itself.

Shit... i hate these kinda people... it seems to be getting to the east coast a bit too... i grew up in the pine barrens of NJ... moved to RI and then came to NH for school... and its been getting progressively worse as i go north... (and i thought i was going to a country school in the middle of fucking nowhere...) my school started doing this meatless monday shit. No meat anywhere in the cafeteria... pretty much put my school in an uproar... we got it changed to allow some meat... those fuckers are standing at the meat lines telling us we're douchebags and killing the environment... I just sarcastically say isnt this america? theyre like yea... then shut the fuck up.

These motherfuckers are the exact reason ill be buying a new jacked up 5 mpg pickup this summer. So i can comeback and say, "because fuck you."

I wouldn't drive a vehicle to spite people. I drive my truck because it's 4x4, comfortable, has cargo room(6.5' bed), and I can pull whatever I need to. Other than the small backseat it's a great road trip truck.

I try to be courteous. Once I was at a dealership hunting for a car for a friend. There was a Prius in front of me, who for some reason started backing up. Apparently he couldn't see me I gave him a honk to let him know I was there. Some of the Prius drivers are real space cases. Nowhere as bad as getting stuck behind a minivan in the mountains

Dude, it's been bad here for years. I live near Northampton, MA, and that place is kinda like Portland East. Doesn't quite have the tech dollars that Portland has, but if you are seen without a Mac, you are a pariah.

Don't cut off your nose to spite your face. Gas prices are going nowhere but up in the long run. Might as well not shoot yourself in the foot. Unless you do almost no driving.

I second this. Minivans are by far the worst for me, in all aspects of driving. Stay-at-home moms who think because they have a baby, they should be treated differently. Newsflash lady, people have been popping out kids for centuries. Not that hard and you're kid ain't special.

Prius people are like absent minded professor types around here.

I respect the economy and hardiness of the mom driving a minivan though. Its the glitzed up 55 year old anorexic plastic surgery nightmare using a bedazzled iphone while they weave their empty oversized-luxury-suv all over the road at random speeds or 6 feet up my ass in a blizzard that really gets my goat.

The other day a guy randomly cut me off and then made a point of making eye contact and laughing. We all gotta work on ourselves (I know I do) to just let it all go and be the better guy out there on the road. Waaaaay too much bullshits....

im actually not buying it in spite, i like pick up trucks and use them a lot. Ive been wanting another one for a while. When i had my old truck in jersey i never caught shit before... i lived in the middle of nowhere it was accepted... bottom line i like my jacked up pick up trucks... i miss my old one and want out of my car.

tell me about it... this passed year at a rest stop in ct my dad and i stopped off to take a pee and parked in an area with a sign that said 20mpg+ vehicles only well my dads truck gets 21-22 mpgs highway so were like sweet we can park near the door... well one of these motherfuckers gave us shit because we parked there... we were clearly within the bounds... not by much but we were... and these people have the nerve to give us crap about it? its like they have a napoleon complex but 10 times worse...

for the record... i have a mac... but its not because its cool... its because i dont like the windows operating system, and its vulnerability. ive lost 3 pcs in 3 years, 1 to virus and 2 to hardware problems. just wanted to try something and see if its more reliable, because i believe you get what you pay for.
