sb.com v3?

Soo I was bored today and headed on over to tos when shockingly, it didn't work. BUT it did load some default PLESK page which is a new hosting company for them. Maybe v3 is coming online as we speak? I admit I am anxious to see it.

I also ran into this while looking for details ouch!

Oh the sb.com sucks thread. It seems like every couple of months that one makes resurgence. If you go to the colonies front page it says they are down because of "unscheduled maintenance" . It mentions V3 but it does not sound like when it comes back it will be V3, just same 'ol crappy unreliable V2. Not much more I can say about it...

"We are trying to launch with a new site and platform. We plan to re-launch on our new platform in the fall of 2008."

It's fall of 2008. Quit trying to dash my hopes of v3 you rat bastard.

Hey, fall doesn't end until Winter starts in December. They got some time...

It better launch by 12:01 A.M on December 21st otherwise its winter and its game over.

It won't because there is only one guy working on the IT side of things...just imagine how quickly problems on roll out day will be addressed...or 6 months later...or a year. Snowboard.com is synonimous with "Just wait, it'll be fixed in the new version", meanwhile posts from the last two weeks just fell down the rabbit hole and there is not one peep from the admins for days. Just ask yourself at this point where would they get the money to put a REAL concerted effort behind making the site actually work? I would bet there are the same 20+ core people that post there each day, and while an awesome group, they don't make it profitable.

that is a feeling you (like the rest of us have) will become accustomed to:(

and then with time, you will simply not care anymore.:dunno:

this has been seen to be true, by the migration elsewhere of about 95% of the forums regulars since its 'glory days'.

When I joined a few years ago, SB.com had a good mix of people and a very active community. Since then, just about everyone that made that place fun moved on and all that's left are a few people turning every thread into a cyber orgy within five posts of the OP.

Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, but when it's the ONLY thing, it gets old. I'm hoping V3 brings new life to SB.com. I really miss the politiks section.
