I'm pickier about cars than snowboard gear. By far. I make enemies quickly when it comes to cars, lol. But the fact is that most people buy garbage cars and won't admit it.

The BMW M5 is my arch nemesis. Too many fiddly bits.

I'm really surprised you guys consider a z a reasonable "track" car. They're slow as hell unless heavily modded. (At least in terms of "real" track cars).

I agree...I drove a 5 Series to help the owner recalibrate the tire pressure monitor iDrive is such an annoyance.

I was not. Was the M5 on the episode? Did they like it? My guess is that they hated the computer stuff unless Hammond drove it.

And a 350Z is NOT a slow car for the price. Too many morons compare it with cars WAY outside the price range. For what you pay for a 350Z, not much is comparable. Plus, it's a better street car than anything else in the price range.

Don't hate on the Z or I'll end up getting this thread locked with my rage.

EDIT: Also, what "real" track car ISN'T heavily modded?

And it had something like 5 traction settings and 3 ride settings and 2 suspension settings and that annoying little dial... I test drove that car for 2 days and it was abysmal. My guess is that he also ended up loving the car just because of the sheer power when it was in optimal settings. I would just put it there and leave it, thus rendering moot all the little fiddly parts.

"...for the price." My point exactly. I'm not sure if you're referring to me as one of the said morons, but I'm comparing it to "track cars." I hate it when people refer to slow cars as fast. Z's are slow, period. A car that can't break into the 13's (z's) might be fast compared to similarly priced cars, but so are mopeds.

Plenty of real track cars aren't heavily modded. T.A.'s, camaros, vettes, stangs all break into the 12's with intake, exhaust and tires. It would take a miracle for a z to do that.

Now that I've ended my rant, I'll apologize for getting so aggressive here. I'm REALLY into fast cars and deal with people talking up slow cars everyday on the multiple car forums I'm on.

What do the z-r's run? (or hp/weight)
