Do yourself a favour if you're on any sportbike forums, and don't call it a "Raven". It's just a colour scheme and it sounds douchey. I didn't say "2005 R1 Factory Blue" right?!?

Anyway, loved that bike, but it was pointless for the street. Hurt my wrists riding it under 100 km/h so to be comfortable on it I had to break the law. If/when I buy a bike again I'll look at the FZ1 or FZ8.

Like I said: Long term restoration!!!

This is pretty much the stage I'm at now: Gutted the interior, sandblasting the seams and rust spots, seam welding, gotta weld new steel in places...

After that I'm going to paint all the interior steel gloss black. Then time for a 7M-GTE swap, put a minimalist interior back in, MKI supra rear end, AE86 front suspension and rack, and probably the LAST thing I'll do is paint the exterior glossy black. Going to go minimal on the chrome, mostly glossy black parts.

For rims/tires I'd like these: panasports in probably a 15x7" size or so with 225/50R15 tires on it (theres a few options out there for summers and/or auto-x race rubber)

2012 VW Golf R w/ 320 WHP and 350 WTQ
Took her on a 12000 mile road trip this summer. Made sure to hit plenty of good driving roads. The Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee and North Carolina and the northern section of California Route 1 going in to Oregon... so many curves it was incredible.

Digging ger out of a massive snowstorm:

Wine country:

Route 1 California:

Yeah it throws people off a bit when they find out it's AWD. That + 6 speed manual and the turbo made me go for it. That and it's not a Subaru...
