Football (not NFL) fans?

Just watched the Manchester Derby this morning, have been a huge fan of the English Premier League for the last 15 years or so.

I have mixed feelings about Fellaini (United's new midfielder): at times he seemed involved in all the important plays, along with one of the few shots, but he just didn't play aggressive and commanding enough for me, seemed to be an opportunist rather than a creator.

Either way despite any fault of United, City earned and dominated for the 4-1 result.

I try to watch as much UEFA as I can as well:

Barcelona: best team of all time? maybe

Messi: best ever.

Well as you can see from my handle, Arsenal is my team. Ozil will continue setting up Ramsey and Giroud all season long. They are looking very good considering all the injuries they are facing. They are now #1.

You were commenting on the Manchester United player with wild hair / afro named Fellaini. He completely blew this weekend. He wasn't even running out there. Such a subpar effort was shocking to me. Manchester United looked horrible. Nasri on the other hand was on fire. Good to see. If you put a gun to my head, I will always root for City.

Incidently, the first gave I ever attended in the flesh was Arsenal v Barcelona in 99. Arsenal lost. But I did get to see a young Henri, Tony Adams and various other legends at Wembley. So perhaps Barcelona is the best ever...haha.

Well I had a very nice morning watching Arsenal kick ass and Manchester look like amateurs.

Yea they made a big deal of Fellaini's signing and fans are wearing the wig but his effort was disgusting.

I don't have any real roots for a team, I started and still hold Liverpool as my favorite, but it has been fun to watch all the top English teams the last 15 or so years...

Watching Barcelona play these days is just so next level.

Watching Iron Maiden live in Rio (streamed real time on you tube) and note the large West Ham sticker on Steve Harris' bass guitar. There are premiership football fans everywhere!

Koi you'd be pretty envious where I work, I can see Old Trafford from my office although all is quiet there right now.

Thought I'd chime in on this one you know being English and such. So far the EPL has thrown up a few surprises this year. Since that opening day defeat at home to Aston Villa, Arsenal have gone all kinds of crazy. Liverpool have looked good even without Suarez although Coutinho could be a loss to them.
Chelsea have not looked at all sharp or consistent despite the return of Jose. Why he is freezing out Mata is beyond me.
United bought a player for about 17 million more than he should be valued at. Fellaini was vastly overpriced (mind you 42m for Ozil was no cheap deal either) and probably won't fix the United midfield problem. I reckon if Kagawa played more he'd do alright in that central role.
If I was to put a prediction on the league this year it would likely be:

City
Arsenal
Chelsea
United
Spurs
Liverpool
Everton

That's bold putting Arsenal as high as second and United as low as fourth but the way things are going I can't see why not.

Snowklinger - I went to watch Barca play Atletico Madrid in the Nou Camp last year. There's really no other experience like it. I can't put into words the atmosphere inside the stadium, it was unlike anything I'd ever experienced. The only thing louder was when I was at the Meadowlands in 2008 to watch the Jets play (man those guys are loud). The tour of the stadium was also amazing, a real fun day out even for the non football fans. If you ever get a chance then do go.
