i keep my phone in my backpack, and my ipod classic in a plastic bag in the pocket on the inside of my jacket closest to my chest. Very rarely do i fall onto my chest, so im not too worried about breaking it. I have found a couple cell phones while snowboarding, i usually just turn them into ski patrol.

well see, on the one hand, they suck, and theyre gonna hold me back, which means i'll probably be sitting around a lot and not falling too much.
but then on the other hand, i might "accidentally" get separated and then i'll be itchin for some hard trails or maybe even the park before i get back in touch with them. but in order to get back in touch with them, i'd need my phone... |

yea.. also those handheld walkie talkies work well.. not ur g.i. goe walkie talkies.. i am talking about the bad mutha fuka walkie talkies hahaha. the ones for like $25-50 might be pricey but its cheaper than a new $400 cell phone. also if u play ur cards right.. u can buy em from bestbuy and return them within the 30 day return policy. haha i used to work for bestbuy and i promise you.. nobody gives a fuck if u return that shit on the 29th day with snow inside them.
