haha, cool. jackin' your own thread.

no, i've never used a two line. ...tis why i asked if i could come along one time! i'm always trying to make my rinky dinky kite do tricks just by holding the line with my other hand to make it whoosh & do dives & such.

heritage farm park sounds familiar...where is it?

Ok thats cool that just means you need to learn easy basic steering stuff no big deal. The only other difference is gunna be How much stronger the kite will pull.
Heritage Farm is in Walkersville, its just north of Frederick.

This is the big kite...

Yea it might just pull you up up and away ever so slightly. No Walkersville is up 26 off of 15; like if you take 15 up to Liberty you would go right past the exit for Walkersville. That picture isn't at Heritage, this is at Lake Linganore. I was trying to do a little kitesurfing on the lake, it was an unsuccessful attempt. It is so hard to get up on the board in the water and fly the kite at the same time.

Although I did manage to get ripped of the beach and thrown in to the water by a violent and sudden gust. It was quite fun... Thank god the kite floats.

so i guess weather plays a big role on which days you get out, huh? it's not really something you can plan...? i have my kids during the week (sun night-friday) and every 3rd weekend of the month. i'm down any time you want to go! (unless i've got something else planned) but i'll PM you my number & you could just give me a ring & we'll try to meet up one time!

I bet one of those kites would pull my ass right up to the moon!

Work and play this weekend. It is early saturday and I have to get ready for some upcoming rv shows. Need to prep the vanangon(we bring that and use it as a demo in the show) get some cleaner labeled and do a setup run. Then im off to the tipperary hill(where i live in the city) music fest that starts at 1. Gonna hang there for awhile then off to Octoberfest in the downtown area.

I am learning to kite myself. I picked up a 4 meter trainer and when we go out to the coast I fly it. Hardest part is getting it back in the air after a crash without starting over. Mine is a 2 line with the bar, I hear the 4 line is better for kite snowboarding though. For now, this thing pulls me along plenty fast on the longboard....

Oh I like Octoberfest! we have an awesome one in the town of Leavenworth, Wa!!!
