My Smith IOS goggles have been great, used a couple of seasons with only one scratch to one of the lenses.

However the strap has lost its elasticity and on contacting Smith Optics dissapointingly they do not offer replacements. Couple of hundred dollars down the drain....

I know you can replace straps on some brands (ex did, not sure what brand) and wonder what brands offer interchangeable lenses (neccessary here) and also the strap before the life of the goggle/foam/lens really ends?

Most companies don't warranty on 'general wear and tear' as i have found out with other brands/products it needs to be a manufacturers fault.

I think Oakley may do interchangeable straps but am not sure?? I have one pair that is for super low light but I don't really wear them as they do not fit with my helmet. Looks like I am in the market for a new helmet too.

Back when I wrote this I did write down a few and I think it included Oakley (dont fit), Dragon and Anon? Not sure where I wrote my notes...
Can anyone confirm if Anon have replaceable straps? How about Electric Or Spy?

Yeah, we have a lot of stores etc that sell Smith. I contacted them directly in this case, however they said they were not able to help and did not offer the ability for straps to be changed over (for I/OS at least) Shame.

I have the exact same issue with a pair of Oakley Airwaves, a £500 pair of goggles, and the strap is done, and they will not send paid or otherwise a strap...!

It is not a problem though, as the airwaves have been having serious issues with there hardware, and they had already agreed to a refund due to "technical difficulties" that the recon unit was suffering from...!!!
