Wrong I/O lens?

I just received my new i/o's that were supposed to have a platinum mirror lense, which I assumed was silver by the picks? My lens is brownish orange with a rose/orange colored viewing tint. Did I get the wrong lense or am I just misunderstanding the word platinum?

Hard to tell. It's notoriously hard to get real product pictures of lenses for retail sites. Most are actually computer generated not actual photos. But most platinum, polarized, silver etc. lenses actually look a little brown in person. Most are made with a base color lens and then coated in another color. My guess is you got the right lens but it's impossible to tell without better photos or seeing them in person. Try taking them to a shop that sells them to compare.:dunno:

I had a similar thing happen. I ordered the blue sensor, and inside lighting makes it appears brown/yellow. Not too concerned personally. My guess is in the sunlight it will appear different. Mine came in the labeled lens box so I am assuming I got the right product.

Yeah, lenses never look exactly like the pictures on most sites and those actually look rather fake to me, unless they are photos (it's very easy to tell).

This is apparently what the Platinum Mirror looks like in person:

Hope it helps. Taking it to a shop and comparing doesn't seem like a bad idea either, if you are really in doubt.
