I'm picky

Looking for a new jacket that I can keep using for hopefully the next few seasons but I'm picky. Went through the whole jacket section on thehouse.com and I didn't really like any of them or if I did, they didn't have my size or the color I wanted. I really like the whole varsity jacket design but it's not a must. and I really don't want a plain jacket that's just one solid color. And I'd preferably like to keep it under 200$ but that's not a major issue either. And it's an insulated jacket that I'm looking for also. I like technine and special blend jackets to get the idea of what I like. Any opinions?

what jackets have you not liked? I am a fan of the Burton Poacher series, and 686 has done me well also.

It's not that I hate any specifically I just don't like jackets with too much of a kiddy design.

Go to a store like mec or something and check out their jackets, may not be exactly what you are looking for but north face, helly Hansen and others make some great stuff. People say you are buying the name but you are also buying a top notch jacket. They do tend to be plainer than I think you are looking for but some do come in some cool colours eg. the north face free thinker. I grabbed a very expensive north face for 50% off two winters ago and it's by far the best jacket I've ever had.

I dont know why you said Special Blend & Technine if you dont like "kiddy" design :P

My suggestion is stop being picky.
The less colors, the easier it is the pull off, the better it looks.
And obviously, less flashy colors is good too

I recommend Sweet Protection jackets.
Holden is also good if u want more "mature" look.

Go to a thrift store, ever heard of Value Village?

You can find brand new shit with the tags still on for $20.

Maybe you'll learn, to not be so picky?

Buy all your softgoods there & you can get a seasons pass for free. :giggle:
