I am in the market for a pair of jean snow pants. I am having a bit of trouble finding the style I want. I don't want a skinny jean style and I don't want a baggy jean style either....kinda just right...a tad on the skinny side but not too skinny. Any recommendations?
686 Destructed Denim is right in that sweetspot too IMO. Enough room for kneepads and ass protectors etc, but still look fairly 'fitted'... Nice and waterproof (though snow sticks to them pretty quickly, it never gets in), and really solid construction.
I have three pairs of the 686 Destructed Denim. They're all from the 2012-2013 season.
The insulated pair is a lot baggier than the others. Considerably... the other two they no longer make (a one year limited run), and they fit a lot tighter. The other two are 686's "street fit" as opposed to the all access (their baggiest fit, I'm pretty sure) I would say that I could ride in them comfortaby, but the crotch is a little too low for me and because it's not loose it limits mobility. I have one in the regular indigo/plaid patchwork and the other in a green "army" denim colour. Someone a little smaller than me who wants a slimmer fit would do well in them, I'm sure. I'm planning on selling them cheap, and I only rode in the one pair for a couple of hours. Caffeine, you aren't a larger fellow, are ya?
I wear slim fit designer jeans off the mountain... but the snow pants have to be baggier. I just bought a the Burton goretex jeans last night in two sizes to make sure. Hopefully they're as good as I'm thinking... other than that whole Burton thing.
