Would snowmobile goretex shell bibs work for snowboarding?

just not sure if the cut wouldn't work, or make it more difficult bending over to strap in

I guess they'd be ok if you go once or twice a year. That kinda gear isn't really meant for being active is it? I'm guessing the breath ability on those things isn't very good and you'd heat up a lot, and as you mentioned the mobility isn't top notch, though that wouldn't be so bad.
