Need pants...686 Cargos or Ride Belltown's..or..

I have some 10 year old Burtons that I'm going to replace and figure this is the best time to buy some pants.

I want the pants around a 15K/10K weatherproofing and around $150.

My only requirement is that I'm pretty boring...I want it in a tan/taupe and a size medium. I've basically given up hope finding the 686 Smarty Cargo's in this color/size since every shop that has them on sale ($150 range) are ALWAYS sold out in the size/color combo...I do still find them for full price ($200) in the size/color combo though.

Does Ride make good outerwear?

I found some in "canteen" for $150...I may go with these.

And if not these two pants, anything else similar I should look at? I don't want a slim fit or a super baggy...just a normal/semi-baggy pant with some extra pockets (like cargos).

the 686 are pretty baggy, maybe try on some different sizes cause they are great pants, havent been too warm, cold or gotten wet at all in some very variable conditions.

I'm 5'9" and 155lbs...you think a small will fit me? I don't want them to be super emo girl jean style nor do I want them to be super baggy.

I'm 5'9.5" and 150 pounds and the smalls are baggy on me. I have a pretty small waist though.

yeah, I ended up spending 2 hours driving to 4 stores to see what size I am..every store only had XL in the 686 Cargos. I was able to try on the Belltowns but they're pretty thin with no lining and liked the Cargo's better. Ended up ordering a medium from one online site and a small from another...I'll just return the one that doesn't fit.
