God I was an idiot to ever go without one. Caught a back edge trying to stop on my toes last night and fell back and slammed my head into the ground. Got so lucky that I did not concuss myself.. went over to the ski shop and bought a helmet straight away. Probably got ripped off to all hell but no way was I gonna go back out there without one after that fall.

Definitely a good investment.

yeah those dome-bangers come out of nowhere a lot of the time...thats why I just leave my helm on all the time and stay strapped

Helmets are worth the money. They bring a lot more confidence

I did the same thing a few weeks ago, lucky I didnt bust my dome open. Rode like I had sand in my metaphorical vagina all day and bought a helmet before my next trip. Wont ride without one ever again.

i have to agree...i was taken out from behind and banged my head...good thing i had my bern watts on!

A similar incident caused me to buy one too. Serious slam to back of the head. I actually really like riding with one, I'm warmer and feel better protected.

I bought a RED Hi-Fi after 6 years of riding without one. It has given me so much more confidence! I did my first rails this past weekend! After riding for a bit with it on, you forget all about it really.

A good friend died a couple of years ago from complications from a concussion.

I always wear a helmet.
