Helmet and spine protector
I'm a freerider and I'm into my 2nd season. I think I've mastered heel side, toe side, and general carving pretty well, and I ride mostly blacks, easier trails if I go as a group. I think I'm want to start going off on some smaller natural jumps and eventually move into the park.
I'm eyeing the Giro G10 MX helmet, I like how the helmet has that easy fit feature (that little dial on the back), I also like the ventilation system. Sierrasnowboards.com has the 2009 model for $70. In your opinion, is it that much better than the less expensive models? (Revolver or whatever)? Can you guys recommend anything else without costing an arm or a leg?
I also want to get something to protect my spine. I've heard good things about Head's Thorac Unit. Anyone here rocking them? Work as advertised? Comfortable and natural enough to wear for the entire day? Does it get hot, catch your skin, etc.?
Thanks guys, I already have some booty pads and I won't snowboard without them.
