686 Softshell - Snowboarding Forum

I was looking at buying the 686 plexus grant softshell, and was wondering if anyone has ever tried this? The thing is, I've never worn a softshell before to board, and was a little worried about the warmth and water-proof capabilities of them.

I have a 686 softshell, not sure which model, and it is plenty warm and dry. I mainly ride Northern California.

I have tried on the 686 softshells, very nice. I have a sessions softshell and it is quite toasty. I only ride mine on the mountain closer to spring. While it might be warm in the winter if you have layering under it, a snow skirt that your normal jacket shell has does wonders for keeping the powder or snow out.
