686 Plexus Surge Softshell + Polartec Windblock vs 686 Smarty Command Jacket - Snowboarding Forum

Hello,
I want to buy a comfortable jacket and trying to decide between subj setup. A light external softshell jacket + separate polartec liner or a hard shell with zipped fleece liner. Both jackets are 10k/8k water/breath. The average temp conditions will be 0 .. -15.
Do you have any suggestions regarding this setup?

I have the 686 Plexus Doppler. I think they are pretty similar. Bought it last year, but have yet to use it. I do plan on using it this year with an UA coldgear mock and maybe a hoody. I'll let you know how it turns out. First trip is later this month.

But, the jacket is of great quality and its pretty warm by itself. But again, I have not used it on the slopes.
