I can see my goggle's nose frame in my field of vision? - Snowboarding Forum

Similar to how one can see a part of their own nose, I can see the nose frame of my goggles. It is a ghost-like non-solid image, but it is a bit annoying and I can see it basically right in the middle of my vision while riding down the hill. I do believe my goggles are on properly but this still occurs. Is it normal, and what do you do to ignore it?

Go faster and you wont want to look at your nose.

This is a common problem for snwoboarders. Unlike skiers, we have to turn our heads to either side to look in the direction we are going downhill. This causes the nose area to come into the field of vision of the eye that is opposite of downhill.

Since you are always going to see your own nose, goggles with a lot of plastic around the nose area makes it much worse. There are goggles out there with less plastic around the nose for this exact reason. I rock the Oakley Splices which were specifically designed for snowboarders to combat this issue:

Ride more difficult terrain. I guarantee you'll stop looking at your nose and start concentrating on not busting

These look like a great solution, however I have to wear strictly OTG goggles and $100-$160 is way out of my range. I'm looking for like $80 or under.. but idk if thats even possible =(

Are there any other ideas you have to help remedy that annoying nose?
