Default frends headphones

Anyone else got them? Well, I just got the coupe and they're ok. In my opinion the sound quality is somewhat poor so far, the play/pause next/back function mic, isn't there. It might just be me, but I thought a multifunction mic meant that there were buttons somewhere on the wire of the headphones that would allow you to play or pause the music, but that's not there. If you push on the mic there is a clicking feel, but it doesn't do anything at all. So, I feel like they're pretty durable, but overall I wouldn't recommend these to anyone so far, because of the lack of a play/pause feature which was huge for me and poor sound quality. Disappointing because I thought these were going to be absolutely ill.

messed around with it a little more, and clicking the mic button does do play/pause, it's not the most reliable, but it'll do. The sound quality again, is worse than the headphones your ipod comes with. Anyone else have these headphones? I don't know if maybe mine's just a lemon, but I got my brother a pair too, but he hasn't opened it yet. So I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Just tried my brother's the sound is much better. I got a lemon.... bummer

I had some skull candy ones before, the sound quality was so very shit I returned them. And uber expensive also, 40 dollars for that POS.

I wanted to try the friends ones, but if you say sound isn't that great I am not gonna even try. Go get some AKG 518 dj phones, you will be blown away.

I tried my brother's pair and the sound quality on those were better. They're pretty good, but I wouldn't say they were better than my old 50$ sony headphones. The difference though, is that the frends ones feel pretty solid and durable. At 25 bucks, I'd say it's a worthy investment.

How are the Frends holding up?

I got a pair of The Classic in January and already one of the speakers doesn't work. I have traced it to the plug (tried it in 2 ipods and my droid and had the same issue in all three so it isn't the device). I think the sound quality of The Classics is pretty good and the build seems ok...but this connector issue ticks me off...a $60 pair of headphones should last longer than a month and a half.

Update: Got an email back from FRENDS in less than 24 hours. They want me to send them in and will replace them. Thank you FRENDS

just get a nice over head pair of headphones. they will sound 100 times better and will be just as durable the best pair for the price is the JVC HA-RX700 at $35 and after 100 hour burn in time they are the best pair under $200. otherwise if you have a helmet get a helmet kit or some cheap jvc marshmellows
