So, I'm currently rocking a 1st generation ipod nano, and its 2-hour battery life, coupled with its miniscule size and the need to reset it constantly is pissing me off. I want a new ipod and have my 18th birthday in the next 2 weeks.
I'm thinking Ipod Touch 4th Gen, but idk whether I'd want 8Gb for $210 or 32Gb for $275. (prices from amazon... if ya know anything better, lemme know.) I'd primarily use it for listening to music, playing angry birds, and taking vids/pics at random points when I deem it necessary... Wondering if anyone has a take on what'd be better, as my parents may make me pay the difference between the two sizes... Basically, how much storage do you think I'll need? I'm planning on getting a fairly rugged case for it, so if anyone has suggestions for that please let me know your opinions on cases! Thinking something like one of these: Leather type case hard-plastic type case and thinking Not something like this: Gel-case type thing... Also, would yall recommend a clear-plastic screen protecter? Something like this? *Not sure if this is in the right section but it is about equipment, not music itself... sry if ya think im wrong... And no, this isn't advertising... I'm trying to make an informed purchase. **Once again, any help would be mucho appreciated! Last edited by veazer; 01-30-2011 at 06:45 PM. |

I have a 16gb and its the perfect size, any smaller and it wouldn't hold anything, basiclly you look at it like this, buy the cheaper one, or spend 50$ more and get 4 times the memory for future music. Id go with the bigger one if i was choosing. as for cases the second one looks better than the first i think

I agree with everyone else. As someone who has taken their iPhone out on the hill, it *DOES* get a bit wet, no matter what pocket you have it in, be it from you sweating, or if you fall, whatever.
But yeah...When you're boarding in close to zero degree temps, it's a hassle to remove your glove, or get the glove liner wet just so you can switch a tune. |

get a classic you have 60 gigs and no touch screen to annoy you. Also you gotta remember that youre battery will die even faster on the mountain cuz of the cold. Id get a really insulated case or a put a handwarmer by it.
