slammed face first....again. what can I do for protection?
So i recently slammed face first when I caught a toe side edge when I wasn't balanced coming off a feature and went down hard. I Thought I broke my nose but luckily I didn't. This is the second time this happened and second pair of cracked oakleys :dunno: still in great condition though.

Anyway, I already wear a regular helmet and goggles all the time and the two times I took a toe-edge catch were easily the hardest falls I've taken and both times it happened too fast to even brace for impact. I was seriously considering getting a full face type helmet much like motocross or boarder cross use but was wondering if they are effective.

Anything to do about it short of never falling again?

If you are falling forward turn your head.

Find a woman who is not so concerned about looks?

At minimum if you're going to make a habit of that, get a mouth guard. yeesh.

motorcycle helmet FTW

If you get a full face be sure to get one of these. Neck Protection That front of the helmet will increase the chance of bending your neck too far back and killing you.

also maybe you're hitting features you aren't ready to hit.

Cover your boards edges with silly putty so they don't catch!
