The good and the bad for protective equipment - Snowboarding Forum

Just wanting to pass along my impression of a couple of pieces of equipment that I've bought.

These knee/shin pads are great. Good fit, sized to end just above the boot. Removable hard shell with padding underneath. Recommended.

These impact shorts I can describe in two words. Use. less. About the only thing they provide any protection for is the cold lift chair, and even that's not great. Buy s couple of towels, stick them down your pants, you'll get as much protection.

Completely agree with the Pro-tec Hip Pads... It looked and felt good in the store, but may as well wear nothing on the mountain.

Helmet of course, and cp2500 pad shorts
Which are crucial when you wash off some hidden icy mogul...or slam on a tree. I barely feel them under the pants, a must in hard pack days...
