Video quality would be another consideration for whether I bought one or not.
I'd like a cam to catch friends and family digging a corn row in the snow with their face. Or even catch the first person view while taking a digger.
I've taken some pretty good headers on the blacks going so fast I passed other people up while I was tumbling. Or when your buddy doesn't quite make the turn and he bounces off a tree, then while he's getting up he gets buried in all the snow from the tree unloading. You look around and all the trees are white, except the green one he's under. Those are good times to get on video.
Instead of having a few brews and just laughing about the memories of it at the end of the day, we can watch it too. Fun to see what we look like from someone elses view point.
For me, the goggles will have to fit good, have good visibility, and produce good video. Not a big deal if I look like a clown. I look around the mountain, or around town, and I see plenty of people I think look like a clown following some of the fads. It's all in the beholder so I don't give it much consideration. But that's just me.
I also have the outlook that if I look like a dumb@$$ and give people a good laugh, I just did something positive.
For something to be cool, there has to be something that is the anti-cool; right? It's one of the laws of the universe. Someone has to take one for the team every now and then and be the anti-cool so cool can exist. (humor intended)
