A word of advice to those of you who rock audio helmets and have had your speakers go out, don't just go buy a new helmet/audio liner.
I have a Bern Watts with the 8-Tracks audio liner (which is apparently infamous for the speakers dying) and finally had the audio start to cut out at the end of last season (two seasons on the helmet). My first thought was, "Oh boy, they said it was gonna happen sooner or later" and I ended up taking the jack casing apart to see if I could fix it. After a bunch of superglueing and electrical taping, I tried out a couple different male-male cords, and found out the headphones were fine - it was just the cords. I knew this because one cord barely worked at all, while the other one worked but still cut out with too much movement. Both had been used while snowboarding and had been yanked at on at least one occasion. So before you throw the liner in the trash, try out a new cord, more then likely the one your using is just stretched out.
